03/12/12: Live in the Living Room – Do They Know It’s Christmas?

Music is amazing.  Music with a purpose is even better.  That’s exactly what Live in the Living Room have produced.  With a host of Kent’s finest LTLR’s mastermind  James Vince has recorded this version to raise awareness of a very important cause.  The Meningitis Trust have been raising awareness about Meningitis for 25 years, and this follows an event earlier in the year also supporting the cause.

Down to the song.  Recorded by .. guess, go on – yep you got it, Dan Lucas of Anchor Baby Recordings it’s a faithful and strong version of the original showcasing the talent we have in Kent.  Opened by Alie Cotter of Blaise Paisel it even has extra flourishes of production, such as the vocals laid down by Ted Clark.  The Alex Beharrell Band play the backing track.  You can’t get anymore local than this and the level of quality shows how good our local scene is.  Get your copy here.

The video that accompanies the track was filmed by Colin O’Reilly from AMEBA.  Shot in the studio during the recording it shows the atmosphere of the session perfectly, showing the enjoyment and passion of those involved.  It even feature’s our own Mitch Emery singing and busting a move.

Here’s who is involved if you were wondering.  Alie Cotter from Blaise Paisel. Fred Clark. Alex Beharrell from The Alex Beharrell Band. Kerry-Lee Woollard from Sugar Skulls. Charlotte-Rose Ellis. Luke Pope from Small Crusades. Ted Clark and Connie Cummings from Brother Bare. Diane Dunn from The Oh Suzannahs. Vicky Barker. Mitch Emery. Jack Bowden.  Lota people!!
