Lurking in deepest and darkest south east Kent there is a band. Built on dark tones and big riffs, Stone Kings have played many an energetic and packed out show. Currently planning the pressing of their latest E.P, we thought we’d whet your appetite with this little and importantly free gem from Stone Kings’ music library.
Certified by Megadeath’s David Ellefson.
Armageddon is four minutes and twenty six seconds of dark intensity. Carried by strong drums, guitars and vocals join forces to create an unrelenting and seething track. As Armageddon warns that ‘this world has got it coming /now its come around’ you’ll be forgiven for feeling more enjoyment than fear. Even as Stone Kings talk about the destruction of planet it’s over shadowed by a decidedly ear tingling break down and big riff. Armageddon is a big slice of hard rock/stoner metal which point towards great things from Stone Kings’ new E.P.

So, last night happened. An hour of big local music from bands across Kent and a few cheeky extras (the best kind). We have to be honest, it did some nice things to us. With new material from Crashgate and The Black Waterside we enjoyed it a lot. Check out all the acts we played live, they’re all kind of awesome.
We liked this one a lot – even the Christmas records sounded awesome. This is a very rare thing, bah humbug and such! Among the great local music this week was the Live In the Living Room Christmas single. This is a collaboration from lots of Kent artists covering Do They Know It’s Christmas?, all in the name of Meningitis awareness. Download it here and show your support for Meningitis awareness, and get an ace version of a Christmas classic!
Listen again Friday at 6.30 for the hour again, packed full of amazing Kent bands! Listen 24/7 for great independent music. Here’s who we played:
