Circle Of Rage Release New Video

Circle of Rage, Fear, Does, Not, Exist, In, This, Dojo

Circle of Rage have released the video to their latest track Fear Does Not Exist In This Dojo.  Produced by Kent based OYFE Productions the video is set in a dark and smoke filled room.  The video suits the track perfectly as the dark  and confined environment hosts foreboding drumming and an opening riff that sounds like it’s climbed out of hell.

Professionally shot and edited Fear Does Not Exist In This Dojo captures the live spirit of Circle of Rage and the aggression of the track. There’s even a TV that gets smashed.  Watch Circle of Rage live on the 28th March at Canterbury’s Beer Cart Arms.   Scroll down for links.

Dakota Ruins Are Coming

Dakota Ruins

The state of Dakota lies in ruins, and the culprits are on their way here.  Only kidding, Dakota is fine.  Causing fear and paranoia by using the media, I mean who would do that.  Six individuals under the name of Dakota Ruins are on their way here however, but hopefully you’ll like it.

Dakota Ruins are a metalcore six piece from Worcestershire.  They have a wide range of influences covering Kill Switch Engage, Bring Me The Horison and even Young Guns.  Dakota Ruins are supported in their quest to conquer the nation’s ear drums by Dry Ice Promotions and Etych Bodyart .  They’ve even played with local lads Artemis Redeemer, who recently gigged with the band at The Unicorn in London.  With this support Dakota Ruins aim to bring their own brand of metalcore to a place near you.

Dakota Ruins’ brand of metalcore is like a house party drinking mix without the bad taste or risk of internal melting.  Tracks from their debut album such as Respawn bring together their influences but also show their own creativity.  Respawn pounds forward with a foreboding tone.  The vocals go from dark growls all the way through to clean vocals, giving Dakota Ruins intensity and sincerity.  Underneath this the powerful riffs and ear catching effects help to keep you more hooked as the track drives on than a teenager that’s just discovered porn.

Dakota Ruins1

Making these tracks work live is important to Dakota Ruins, and the live experience is a kinetic one.  They believe in doing their music and crowds justice on stage with a big stage presence.  There’s a high chance you’ll feel moved.  You won’t laugh or cry, but you will bounce around a mosh pit.  See Dakota Ruins for yourself in June, they’ll be playing Ashford, Canterbury and Folkestone.

Get your ears around this band!  Visit their Bandcamp for a free download to tempt you and visit their Facebook to hear even more music.

Loaded Pistolas – Underground

University; a fabled land of lie-ins, lazy days, 9p noodles and more time spent in the bar than a lawyer at a war crimes case. Apparently there’s also work involved but that’s just a rumour like the dustbin men.   Somewhere between all of this though three Kent University students have found the time to become a band.   Lonnie Storey, James Hogan and Adam Thompson have fought through the hangovers to create the Loaded Pistolas.  After recording with Dan Lucas they have a new track called Underground that you really do need in your life.

The indie vibes of Loaded Pistolas come through instantly.  A big and expansive riff floats across your mind lazily like an establishing shot of the desert in a Wild West movie.   Then the drums kick into life and transform the song entirely.  Underground takes on an energetic pace and a desperate energy as the track races through your brain.  The drums have an urgent feel to them, sounding tumultuous whilst the guitar riff morphs into something equally as urgent and expressive.  Together with the bass Underground has so much desperate energy you’ll start to look around.  You know, just to make sure nothing terrible is happening you should be avoiding.

The lyrics are a major factor in Loaded Pistola’s sonic adrenaline shot.  Starting off at a relaxed pace as Underground continues they become more and more determined. ‘You turn your back and they’re done for/It’s your dying day’.  This set’s the tone of Underground.  The story telling within the lyrics is also a major strength, something progressive and ambitious rather than circular and standard.  This is also aided by a solid chorus.

The Loaded Pistolas have created a track which can only be described as exciting.  A nearly four minute action movie, in sounds!  Check it out on their Facebook for free.
